The workplaces of the future

The enthusiasm is evident: During the photo shoot for this annual report, Georg Wohlwend, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Group CEO Gabriel Brenna stand in the unfinished Campus Giessen – beaming with pride. The vision is taking shape, and the buildingʼs shell has been completed on schedule. By the end of 2025, a modern, future-oriented office building for LLB in Vaduz will be ready for occupancy.

The interior work is now in full swing, and the occupancy plan for the new LLB Campus has already been finalised. Employees have been informed and know where their new workplace will be. If everything goes according to plan, the new building is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2025. Around 250 colleagues in Vaduz can look forward to a new workplace concept, which will first be extensively tested in Essane Park in Eschen and introduced as early as March 2025.

Increased efficiency through a new workplace concept

The Workspace 4.0 concept is designed to support various needs in everyday working life, enabling a more efficient way of working. A key element of this approach is its division into three main zones:

  • Concentration: These areas are designed for daily, structured work routines. They provide quiet spaces for focused work and the necessary tranquillity to concentrate fully on tasks.
  • Collaboration: The focus here is on creative exchange. These spaces foster collaborative idea development, presentations, decision-making, and spontaneous discussions. They provide flexibility for both ad hoc and scheduled meetings.
  • Care: These areas are designed for relaxation and social interaction. They provide various break options, dedicated break rooms, and a relaxed atmosphere for personal conversations and networking.

Feeling at ease in the office

A key goal of Workspace 4.0 is to ensure that employees feel at ease in the office. At Campus Giessen, this will be achieved through carefully selected furniture, a pleasant atmosphere, ergonomic workstations, and excellent acoustics. These factors contribute to a motivated and productive work environment. “A well-known office furniture manufacturer promotes the slogan ‘We love Monday’. This perfectly captures what we aim to achieve with Workspace 4.0. Our goal is for employees to feel completely at ease at work,” says Stefan Marxer, Project Manager of Campus Giessen.

Basis for future adjustments

Workspace 4.0 at Campus Giessen marks the starting point for further spatial adjustments at LLB. To meet the evolving needs of employees, office layouts in the Haus Äule building and the headquarters building are being optimised, and Haus Äule will also undergo a soft renovation. Concepts for these changes are currently in development..

Our goal is for employees to feel completely at ease at work.

Stefan Marxer, Project Manager of Campus Giessen

A new era of work

With Workspace 4.0, LLB is integrating sustainability, New Work, and efficiency to create a modern working environment for its employees. A key aspect of this is providing tailored workspaces for different tasks.

There is still much to do before the move to Campus Giessen. Interior work is in progress, and Stefan Marxer is confident that the building will be ready for occupancy by the end of the year. The transition of around 250 employees into their new working environment will be carefully guided before, during, and after the move. This also includes gathering and considering the individual needs of each department as much as possible in advance.

The new Campus Giessen marks a milestone for LLB as an attractive employer. After all, if LLB provides its employees with the best possible support in their daily work, the future motto could well be: “We love every day at work”.
