Based on its almost 160-year history, LLB considers sustainability to be an integral part of its business success. Sustainability has always been a core element of our activity. The financial services sector has great potential to change markets and help shape economic systems.

Gabriel Brenna, Group CEO

Sustainability means combining business activity with social and environmental responsibility as well as good corporate governance. On the one hand, the LLB Group has set itself the goal of supporting the necessary structural change in the real economy and actively promoting the financing of sustainable investments.

On the other, it is positioning itself on the market for green finance to achieve sustainable earnings. Consequently, it is making available products and financial resources that have a positive impact. Since February 2021, LLB and Bank Linth have been represented in the three ESG equity indexes of the SIX Swiss Stock Exchange. A growing number of institutional and private investors have joined the "SPI ESG", "SPI ESG Weighted" and "SBI ESG" sustainability indexes.

One of the outstanding qualities of the LLB Group. The Liechtensteinische Landesbank is one of the best capitalised banks in Europe. Moody’s, the rating agency, has awarded it a deposits rating of Aa2, which was reconfirmed in spring 2020.

LLB ranks among the top tier of Liechtenstein and Swiss banks, well above the average of European financial institutes. Stability is for us the basis on which to responsibly support the profound economic and social changes.

LLB’s majority shareholder, the Principality of Liechtenstein, also stands for stability and security. Liechtenstein is one of only eleven states in the world to hold an AAA rating. LLB is a trusted, reliable partner for the Liechtenstein business centre, both for research-intensive, high-tech export industries and for regionally active service and commercial companies.

LLB makes a significant contribution to Liechtenstein’s prosperity and economic growth. At the same time, it enables its shareholders to participate in its business success by providing them with an attractive, long-term-oriented dividend policy. This in turn encourages more sustainability in the transformation of the Principality’s economy. In the long term, sustainable investment brings a double gain for our investors: dividends and the positive feeling of leaving, as far as possible, future generations with an intact environment and stable social conditions.
